New Photography Annual 2010

During a photo shoot, so much emphasis is placed on the perfect shot and often it is such a small second in time when this takes place. As set-designers, we wanted to explore the beauty surrounding this moment by celebrating the enormous anticipation and frantic but methodical work that goes into setting up a photo shoot and also the aftermath; the moment of calm reflection when the shoot has been wrapped. For this project, the action shot; the noisy, colourful, sparkly, messy explosion of balloons, party-poppers, glitter cannons and paint tubes making up The Photography Annual’s ‘P’ is missing.
