La Ritournelle

I was asked by YCN to make something for under a fiver that would make them happy for a feature in the YCN 09/10 Annual. Inspired by Mexican niches, I raided my scrap box and nipped out for some glue and coloured fairy lights and made a small, static theatre inspired by a romantic weekend at the seaside full of music and dancing, sunshine and stars.

Magpie Collection

We are like magpies at a car boot sale; just a glimmer of glitter, sparkle or shine and we’ll spot it from a mile away and snap it up. We were commisioned by YCN to share the love by displaying and selling some of the precious bits and pieces from our collection.

Reading Rainbow

A rainbow structure made entirely of colour ordered books to celebrate the launch of the YCN library. Also recreated to feature in the The Brit Insurance Design Awards at Design Museum where YCN was nominated for an interactive design award.

Piñata Promotion

We were commissioned to design, fill and make 250 piñatas to promote the ‘Call For Entries’ competitions in the 07/08 YCN book. They were sent to all the Graphics and Illustration courses in the country and fifty were sent to creative people and design studios their mission being to come up with a interesting way of getting into them as they proved to be pretty indestructible.
