Magpie Collection

We are like magpies at a car boot sale; just a glimmer of glitter, sparkle or shine and we’ll spot it from a mile away and snap it up. We were commisioned by YCN to share the love by displaying and selling some of the precious bits and pieces from our collection.

Obsessive Optimism

Anyone that has visited us at our retrospective houses or studio would confirm that we are fairly obsessive collectors. We also have a fascination for the art/habit/phenomenon of collecting. Bearing all this in mind, we had an exhibition at The Nook celebrating the eccentric collector.

Tantalizer

Based on a old victorian contraption that housed ‘precious’ liquor on a victorian side board, this installation was designed to attract but also prevent the audience from fully interacting with what would have been the main feature of the former Red Lion pub in Mayfair.

Brompton Borders

A project formed to celebrate early 20th Century by English landscape artist Gertrude Jekyll, who was influenced by the Arts and Craft movement. Jekyll was renowned for her appreciation of both natural and formal styles, emphasizing the importance of structure, proportion, colour, scent and texture in gardens of almost any scale. My skip was filled with fake flowers to celebrate my mum’s gardening secret as to why the garden where I grew up in Deptford is aways in bloom.
